PLATINUM, Mechanical Pencil - ProUse 241.

Perfect for anyone who likes to fine-tune their writing experience, the Pro-Use 241 features a special spring mechanism in the tip that can be toggled to reduce lead breakage. It also features Platinum's OLEeNU clutch design, which further protects the lead and also keeps the lead usable up to the last few millimeters, and the ability to change the lead pipe from fixed to sliding.

The 241's pressure-absorbing spring mechanism in the tip lets the lead slide back slightly into the pencil, easing the pressure and preventing a break. Twisting the grip section activates and deactivates the mechanism. When the mechanism is deactivated, the lead is held firmly in place, providing more sensitivity and feeling of the surface of the paper as you write.

To change the lead sleeve between fixed and sliding modes, simply twist the nose cone to tighten or loosen it. When the nose cone is tightened, the lead sleeve is fixed at its maximum length (approximately 3.25 mm), providing rock-solid stability. When the nose cone is loosened, the lead sleeve can slide backward from 3.25 mm to 1.5 mm, allowing you to write longer between clicks and reduce the amount of the lead sleeve sticking out when you put the pencil back in your pen case. Clicking the top button will extend the tip back to its full length.
