Laban - Galileo

Beautiful metallic overlay showing off the resin underneath. The design features a beveled edge delicately cut into the metal. Galileo was a scholar who was discredited in 1612 by his image that the earth would rotate around the sun and the sun was thus the center of the planets. The Catholic Church believed that the earth was the center of the universe and Galileo was banned and was not allowed to leave the house until his death.
