Good pen

Pen is good, build good, however the ink flow sometimes gets obstructed.

Doing some soul searching after buying this pen

I am an avid fountain pen fan. I have been using fountain pens for twenty years now. I have well over 20 fountain pens in an assortment of nib sizes, nib types & pen bodies. The collection has cost me well over 50K, as a few of the pens have gold nibs. After all this, I just wanted to have a green body pen, and since I did not want to blow my cash again, I went with this rather simple pen. It's just a Preppy upgrade with a more formal body. I received it a couple of days after ordering it (Kudos to Swastik Pens again for such a timely delivery), and the first thought that crossed my mind as I started writing with it was, "why did I spend so much on those expensive fountain pens?".... This pen is all you need if you want a pen to just write with and carry to your office or other formal settings. The Platinum nibs and feeds never disappoint, and the pen will write the first time even after not having been used for months due to the slip and seal mechanism in the cap. I ordered this pen with a 0.5 nib size, and the line width is a bit more than what I was expected from a 0.5 mm (the pilot 0.5 Hi-tecpoint puts a much slimmer line). However, that is not to say that the experience was bad. In fact, the nib works amazing and has nice positive feedback and flow. I will certainly recommend this pen to the first timers, as well as those who are just looking for a no-nonsense every day carry pen which will remain trusty for a long long time.

Not a good experience

The pen keeps to losing flow and fails to write every now and then. Really unhappy with the performance of the pen.
