Laban -Galileo

Beautiful metallic overlay showing off the resin underneath. The design features a beveled edge delicately cut into the metal. Fountain pen accepts cartridge or converter and features a rhodium plated nib in fine, medium or broad. Rollerball version also available. 

The Laban Galileo is a dazzling piece of craftsmanship. This fountain pen has a white Resin body with a brass layer and a chrome layer. The layered metal on the body and cap is further finished with chromed details. Because the copper is used on the deeper layers, it gives a lot of dynamics and depth to the pen. The duo tone colored Bock nib is large and writes very smoothly. For an asian pen the medium draws a firm line, but the pen also writes very smoothly and medium wet. There are no words that can honor this fountain pen. He is just incredibly beautiful and comfortable.

The fountain pen is a tribute to Galileo Galilei. Galileo was a scholar who was discredited in 1612 by his image that the earth would rotate around the sun and the sun was thus the center of the planets. The Catholic Church believed that the earth was the center of the universe and Galileo was banned and was not allowed to leave the house until his death.
